Hi, I havn't read any news since 3/89, so I am a little bit out of touch. About the student purchase plan, what and how can I participate? I am also interested in the trade up program. I would need to sell at least one of my 1000's to purchase through the student deal, and I will have hardware left over to sell if I trade up. My systems include: 2 1000's, 1 external 3.5" and 1 external 5.25" floppy drive. 1 megaboard 2. (2 meg expansion ram) 1 supradrive 20 meg. 1 lucas board 16MHz '020 many clock xtals 1 frances board 4 meg 100ns ram 1 1080 monitor (the original one - no #) 1 NEC multisync 1 perfect sound Which of these parts can I still use in a 2000 or 2500/30? The monitors need new cables, no? Also, I could use some help w/ my lucas/frances combo. They seem to work when I don't push my system, but they don't allow me to copy kickstart to 32 bit wide ram, and the whole system is flakey when I connect either the supra or the megaboard to a the system with the lucas/frances. Any help? Oh, on the '040. HP is releasing a new system with a piggy back '030/'882 that plugs into an '040 socket. Nice idea! (I think it's HP) David Childs
