Hi. I am building a hypertext like help facility designed for programmers. Anyways, because the files text files used for this utility have the opportunity of expanding vastly and many programmers (like me) do not have the privilage of using a hard drive, there are tight storage constraints. I would love to know of a fast, but effective way of compressing text files so that I can fit more help files on my disk. Any suggestions? Source code definately welcome. I have access to a good library if you cannot explain the method over the network, but I would need the name of a book to refer to.
