I have a 2000 with bridgeboard and PC hardrive. The disk is partioned for one partition for the PC and two partions for the amiga. The system has worked fine for over one year. My son has been using the PCwindow for some time for schoolwork. Last week I closed the PC window, then closed the amiga windows before selecting the icon for the other amiga partion. A window popped open, but with no icons. Then I tried the other partion(which contains the PCworkbench) with the same result. I rebooted, hoping things would improve. The startup sequence proceeds just past djmount, and then I get a requestor saying 'not a dos disk in unit 0'. After cancelling this, I get 'not a dos disk in drive 1'. After I cancel this, I get the first requestor again, then the startup halts. If I move the CLI window, the Icons for the amiga partitions are there but are labeled 'NDOS'. By selecting the icon for the PCworkbench, I can successfully open the PC window, which works as usual. Also, the PC C: drive is there and functions as normal. QUESTIONS: 1. What gives? 2. I vaguely remember a similar situation posted to the net, with some replies hinting of a virus problem. Could this be caused by a virus? 3. Is it possible to recover the files on these partitions, and how would be the best method? I would appreciate any help that might shed some light on this problem. Thanks. arthurm@tekig6.PEN.TEK.COM
