GORRIEDE@UREGINA1.BITNET (Dennis Robert Gorrie) (03/07/90)
Sorry to post this here, but I don't have a path from BITNET to csa.hardware. If it bothers anyone (and I know it will) then feel free to send me a path. Just be thankful I am not cross-posing some nonsense about UK TV broadcast standards to three different newsgroups. Ok, DiskSalv can see the files on my 150M FFS partition, but it will take around 10 hours to do a complete salvage of the files. Also, DiskSalv does not handle it too well if you run into a bad floppy disk during the salvage process. So, is there any way I can rebuild the parition info? I tried DiskDoctor from WB 1.3, but I kept getting a 'not enough memory' error. Is the DiskDoctor for WB 1.32 any better? Is there any other program that rebuild the parition info? Just how much memory would DiskDoctor require for a 150M parition? +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Dennis Gorrie 'Chain-Saw Tag... | |GORRIEDE AT UREGINA1.BITNET Try It, You'll Like It!'| +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
