[comp.sys.amiga] Kudos to GVP and thanks for suggestions !

Recently I posted a message about problems I was having after upgrading
my motherboard to 6.2b, upgrading to an A2620, and upgrading from an old
2090 to a GVP hardcard. After discussing it with GVP, they suggested I
return my Rev 4 hardcard for a capacitor modification they recently added
to their boards. Exactly 1 week after I shipped them the board, they sent
me a brand new Rev 5 hardcard controller. That's what I call service !
With this new board and an upgrade of the ROMS on the A2620 (thanks to all
who pointed this out to me), things seem to be working fine, including
my A2052 RAM board and XT bridgeboard. I am very pleased with the speed
of the CPU and the hardcard, as well as the number of programs I can
multitask with Super Agnus (I've loaded in DPaint, CityDesk, ProPage,
Digi-View, PixMate, a PC window, Butcher, Scribble!, and a CLI window all
on top of a hi-res interlaced WorkBench simultaneously). I am now ready
to upgrade my machine at work to a 68030, etc.. These must really scream !
I've also taken the plunge and ordered the Rejuvenator for my A1000 which
I refuse to give up.

                                          Finally satisfied,
                                          Dave Miller

[Various Things about C=, GVP, etc.. not included. It was all good
, so who'd read GOOD news anyway? :-)]

Here's another pat-on-the-back for GFXBase. My (second) Boing Mouse was
lingering-on-arrival. I called them up, and asked to get a raplacement.
I sent it 1st class on a monday to them, and received it second day air
UPS back to me within a week.

Conclusion: Mouse works perfectly (THIS TIME THOUGH!), and I'm a happy
camper. Thanks to the Boing!/GFXBase people!

No connections to GFXBase here.. we like to remain open circuits!
