I have some postscript fonts that I brought over from the mac (they are type fonts and are, therefore, not encrypted). They had accompanying screen fonts which I also converted from the mac to the amiga. I tried printing using the screen fonts in pro. page 1.3, and when I printed out the postscript file and ran it through the public domain post 1.0 postscript interpreter, the fonts would do strange things like: two words separated by spaces, the second word would backspace over and print over the last one or two characters of the first word. So, in essence, you would have two words, the second of the two printed over the last part of the first. Now, these fonts print just fine when just using the good ole "show" command when using post 1.0 interactively, but since pro page uses an entired different method for printing fonts through postscript (instead of a "num scalefont setfont x y moveto (string) show" command string). Can anyone help me in figuring out what the problem might be??? Could it be that the metrics of the postscript file are completely different from those of the matching screen files??? I used the ppage_any_font command to create .metric files for each of the screen fonts. Any help on this would be much appreciated!
