[comp.sys.amiga] A question

This isn't *specifically* addressed to Matt, but...

This may be a stupid question, but how exactly do you do this???

(Sorry to waste bandwidth with this, but I had problems e-mailing to
Matt. Of course anyone can reply to me if they know the answer).

Thanks,
Jan Sven.

Why of why does ``mail'' in the Amiga UUCP package guru ?

Send answer to richard@gryphon.com or decwrl!gryphon!richard
because if you send it here I wont be able to read it.

(rnews works fine, it's just mail, after accepting the answer
to the [append .signature (y/n)] question.

According to a spec sheet (prominently marked as preliminary), Amix will indeed
come with X, in addition to Open Look and CBM's own windowing system.

Sometimes a question is better than an assumption.

I have a question concerning X11 and UNIX. A freind of mine is putting
together a very powerful Amiga system, and would like to find software
to match the performance of his system.

I have noticed that there is a lot of very powerful software written
for X11 available on the anonymous FTP sites. My question is: would it
be possible to run this software on an Amiga with X11 alone, or would
Amiga UNIX also be needed?

I also have a comment to Commodore about X11: I have noticed that
nearly all of the more powerful UNIX systems include X11 as standard.
This includes HP, the Apollo systems (before they were bought by HP)
and the DECstation systems from DEC. For Commodore to not do the
same, and also include X11 as standard with all of their Amiga UNIX
systems, would be a mistake -- IMHO.
