I love the FBM package that came over the net. However, I discovered that (of course) the most important part for me, fbm2tga, does not exactly do what I need. I converted several 16, 32 and 64 color IFF pictures in various resolution to Targa format with fbm2tga, and they were all gray scaled afterwards. Is this a bug or do I forget something (a switch or so)? Of course, there is the way to load a IFF file into DigiView, output it as 21-bit raw data and convert this via RGBExchange to color Targa, but this is rather complex and if I have to convert tens of files like that.... By the way, I succeeded finally in using the Montage FR1 slidewriter with the Amiga. Here's what I did: 1) Render a 24bit picture with Sculpt 4D or Turbo Silver 2) Convert it to Targa with RGBExchange 3) Get the Targa file (>700 K per file!) to Messydos 4) Set up the Montage for Targa files 5) DON'T use targa.bat to transfer the file to the slidewriter, take the trip program with the option -n (e.g. trip -n mypic.tga). This way it will fill the whole slide (correct aspect ratio). I did some files this way....they look brillant. 16.8 million colors! I'll probably show some of them at the AmiExpo that's going to take place in Basel, Switzerland (9th to 12th of May). -- ------------------------------------ Chris Brand - wizard@sosaria.imp.com "Justice is the possession and doing of what one is entitled to" - Platon ------------------------------------
