[comp.sys.amiga] Questions about narrator.device

I have some questions about narrator.device:

        1) Is it possible to capture the audio samples that are sent to the
           audio device?

        2) What are some good references on the theory behind narrator.device.

        3) Has anyone come up with an improved narrator device?  While I'm
           pretty impressed with the original, it's not really good enough
           for a "professional" product.
