I picked up the premiere issue.  Overall, I found it useful, but quite a
few things bugged me about it.  First, the articles were always
continued on some page later (or earlier!) in the magazine.  Sometimes
more than one jump occurred in an article.  Also, sometimes sections of
articles were simply deleted in mid-word.  And the worst problem:  In
the article about painting in halfbright mode, only three out of the
approximately seven referenced photos were actually included.  I got
really confused when a point was made, and I was referred to photo #5
for clarification, when the photo didn't actually exist.

The included disks contained some nice PD programs, along with sample
pictures and a demo of DeluxeVideo III (which was the reason I bought
the magazine).  At least the review convinced me to buy the product,
since they managed to touch on all the points I was wondering about.
