[net.general] Searching for Graduate Program

CSvax:mss@pur-ee.UUCP (07/09/83)

Currently, I am a senior at Purdue University, and want to
continue with a graduate program in the fields of either
computer systems, artificial intelligence, or robotics.
I will graduate with backgrounds in mathematics, programming
(some system programming, microprocessor programming, and the usual
academic programming experience), and some theoretical computing
background. My problem is this: graduate school seems to as baffling
as college was when I was back in high school. Not only am I not
quite sure about the kinds of graduate study available, I am also
without recommendations of any particular school. I would appreciate
some response to my letter. I need some good clear answers,
i.e. what is a promising field of study and where are the best
places to undertake them? Don't just recommend what is at your
university, but try to let me in on what is happening all over.
If you can references and addresses would be appreciated.

                        Thanx
