Dennis, the reason that your local Amiga dearer (HI :-) ) never told of the tradein before you saw/heard of it was that the info was not in for it as yet (if you were around the last time Commodore had a trade-in offer in the U.S. for 1000's you would know that the offer was NEVER available in Canada). The Educational discounts as of this date are not available in Canada (although there is a promotion going on here in Regina for PUBLIC school teachers at some really fantastic prices on Amiga systems, peripherals (commodore products) and MS-Dos systems. Say hows bout Commodore offering a trade-in program of a 2000 -> 3000?? Say one Amiga 3000 - Amiga 2000 = $1000.00 (CANADIAN :) ).
