Thank you. -------------------------Begin Message----------------------------- The problem: I'm having troubles getting a recoverable ramdisk to recover. So far I have tried BOTH the RAD: device and the VD0: device put out by ASDG. Both of them mount, and are usable, but reseting wipes these devices clean. I have even tried a wide array of changes in the VD0: device definition in an attempt to get it to work, but alas, no luck. The suspected source of the problem: a 1 MB Fatter Agnus Chip. Some months ago I had the new Fatter Agnus Chip installed in order to achieve the full 1 MB of Chip RAM. What leads me to believe this to be the problem is that I knew of another person who had the same RAD: problem and a Fatter Agnus. However, he was able to conquer the problem with the VD0: device. My suspicion is that because he had a full 3 MB of RAM, he simply set the VD0: device up into the expansion memory (this option is explained in the instructions for VD0:). Unfortunately, I cannot do this since I only have 1 MB of RAM to begin with (though, I did try...). My setup: Amiga 500 A502 512K expansion module 1084s Monitor Internal and External floppy Has anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions/solutions to it? It would certainly make my programming life a lot easier if I could get it working. As I'm sure many of you know, when limited to a two drive system, the RAM drive gets a lot of use, and when you GURU...ouch!
