[comp.sys.amiga] Bridgeboard question

parris@mit-caf.UUCP (Patrice Parris) (06/24/88)

Does anyone know which, if any, IBM PC programs don't run on the
BridgeBoard? I don't think there are any major ones but would
appreciate confirmation.

Thanks again.

I don't know if this will help, but all programs that DON'T work with
the Faraday Chip Set (that clones the IBM-PC) won't work with the
BridgeCard. This is also true of a whole lot of PC-clones that use
the same chip set. This seems to be the major incompatibility.
I don't know if a list of such programs was ever produced.

I have an amiga 2000 with a 2090 hard disk controller and 40 meg hard disk.
What I want to ask is really a multipart question. Is there a way to make
a MS-DOS partition on the amiga hard drive {NO, not an amigados partition
dedicated to holding a file that acts like a hard drive partition}, if the
preceding is true then is there a way to have the PC side boot from it.

I mainly want to boot the PC side without the floppy and without getting
another hard disk connected to the PC side to do the job. Any volunteers?
I would much appreciate the info and I would think others as well.
