A friend of mine is wanting to know if there is UseNet access by way of the online service BIX. He has been wanting to get back to UseNet, but can't find an easy way to do it. He has been considering subscribing to BIX based on some good things he's heard about it, but is really wanting to find a route back to UseNet and all the REC.STUFF :-). Can anyone tell me if there's a BIX to UseNet connection? I've heard Compuserve has one, as has he. I'll pass along any information. Please try to email me your responses. BTW, he lives in the Silicon Valley area, so if you know of some other good access routes otherwise, pass them along. I think he knows of the Portal and the Well already. Nope, there's no way to get to usenet from BIX, except for a subscription service to send mail. It's been discussed a lot, especially since so many Ami people have been taking advantage of the flat rate Tymnet access and the flat quarterly BIX cost, but so far TPTB haven't been swayed. /************************************************************ * * * Everything above is copyright me.
