Sidebar in the cover story in Personal Workstation (MIPS). April 1990 Article:The New breed Sidebar: Workstation on a budget. (page 42) Amiga A2000 w/ GVP 30/32 board 4Mbyte of ram 1. Didn't like GRU because of need for .info files but no mention of 1.4 update. a) but a good introduction to a multitasking system (rather condescending tone to this part) 2. Number crunching - beat NeXt and Mac w/ Daystar 33/030 board Dhrystones and MFLOPS w/ Linpacks. Conclusion: Price $5000 beats Mac but same price range as a 25-Mhz So get a 386. My conclusion: Don't read Personal Workstation :-) Seriously he spends the entire little article on Amiga, Mac and Next then ends by saying get a 386. Yuck! The editor should have never allowed it. IMO. With no supporting arguments it says BIAS.
