Sheesh! Doesn't anyone save their receipts for at least 5 years? :-)

Anyway, dug mine out and here is how it reads:

	11/14/85	MicroAge, Concord, CA

	AMG1000 PC 192K/ONE DR/KBRD/ONE DR	1295
	AMG1050 256K RAM CARTRIDGE EXPANSION 195
	AMG1080 MONITOR RGB 495
	AMG1010 EXT 3.5 DRIVE 880KB 295
	FUJI x2 FUJI DSDD 3.5" DISKETTES 110

			SUBTOTAL 2390
			SALES TAX 155

			TOTAL 2545

P.S., yes, that's right, $110 for 20 blank 3.5" diskettes. Them were
expensive beggars back then...

I'm lucky if I save mine for 5 WEEKS...

OK, I stand corrected. In my defense, *I* wasn't the one who wrote out
the check...heck, I didn't even HAVE a checking account in 1985 (no money,
either...the more things change, the more they stay the same). :-)

Hunh. I *know* I didn't spend that much for floppies. But the store I bought
from has always been noted for pretty good disk prices. I DO remember an
office supply store here that was selling boxes of 10 3.5" disks for $79.95 a
couple years ago...I notice they no longer sell disks. (Gee, maybe they didn't
sell too many....?)

I remember I bought my A1000 back in June of 1986, just before the prices
fell for the first time. I bought the A1000, 256k memory expansion, 1080
monitor, 5.25" disk drive with transformer, GraphicCraft, TextCraft,
MindWalker, and 10 blank disks. The regular price on the system was
$4200 Canadian, but luckily I was working for the University at the time
and my dealer had educational prices, so I got the system for $2500. This,
of course, does not include tax.

BTW, I sold MindWalker with my A1000, does anyone have a copy they would like
to sell me?
