[comp.sys.amiga] Bridgeboard for sale and questions

farhi@athena.mit.edu (Bill Hoston) (03/26/90)

***********FOR SALE****************

I have an XT Bridgeboard for sale. I have had it since 1987 and it
works fine, I just don't use it that often. I have successfully
hooked it up to a hard-drive (subsequently sold). I have all the manuals,
software (including a copy of the Janus 2.0 software, sorry, no manual
for it), cables and possibly the original packaging. I would like to
get $275 or best reasonable offer for it. This includes the 5 1/4"
floppy drive. Buyer pays shipping.

**********Question****************

Does anyone know the status of the Amiga tar program that someone
mentioned a few weeks ago? Where might I find a copy?

************Random Comments****************

For those of you out there that would like a program for symbolic
manipulation, look into Maple. It doesn't have all the hype of
Mathematica surrounding it but it is a respected software package. (In
most comparisons between the two that I have seen, Maple beats
Mathematica in terms of its symbolic manipulation capabilties.
Presently its major drawback is its graphing/plotting abilities.) It
has been available for the Amiga for at least 3 years. I have found
that many people in the Amiga community are unaware of its existence
that is why I feel I should mention it. If I recall correctly,
for those who qualify for the education pricing, the cost is $495 CAN.
For those not so fortunate the price is much higher (vague memories
suggest $1200 CAN). You can get complete information via one of the
following avenues:

I don't work for Waterloo Maple Software. I just think they should
advertise more.
