(I know, >color LCD screens are probably too expensive, never mind!) Color LCD's are starting to come down in price. But even using black and white LCD would be ok with me. A portable Amiga would be great. I wonder how much trouble it would be to make one out of an Amiga 500? Didn't I read about someone doing this? Of course it was sky high, I believe. But just think about it. If you could find a LCD screen that accepted standard RGB analog inputs, and took an amiga 500 and adapted the LCD screen to the top, and a battery pack to the back, you would have a portable lap-top Amiga. Even better would be to adapt the whole shebang into a normal laptop case (but the 500 is a bit wider than most laptops). So what would this cost? About $600 for the 500, $200 for the battery pack, and around $600 for the LCD screen? prices are guesses, probably high at that. And some elbow grease. So, around $1400 for an amiga laptop? Not too bad considering the prices of other laptops. Now if we could just squeeze a hard drive in there... -- John Sparks | D.I.S.K. 24hrs 1200bps.
