[comp.sys.amiga] using Lattice C on A500 with floppies

yoshio@ucrmath.ucr.edu (yoshio nakamura) (03/27/90)

How hard is it to use Lattice C 5.0.x on an A500 with one megabyte
of memory, and two floppies? Are compiling (and linking) "large"
programs out of the question with only 1 meg RAM and no hard drive?
How much floppy disk shuffling would I have to do on such a "limited"
system? How much does "RAD:" help, and if it does, how much RAM do you
allocate to it and still have enough room for the compiler and a text
editor editing source code at the same time? If you do use RAD:, do
use stuff like AREXX and conman at the same time as compiling, and do you
sometimes run into memory constraints with 1 meg with all this stuff loaded?

Is the Lattice C++ compiler good?

Post your answers or email, it doesn't matter to me.
