Here on campus we have pseudo-cable TV and one of the chanels we recieve is Much Music- a Canadian MTV. It is all right but my point is that last night they were having some sort of report (sort of like Entertainment tonight) and one of the features was a museum in Toronto that uses the Mandela Interactive Video System. They had a Hockey goalie simulator that was pretty impressive. They also showed the MIDI capabilities of the Mandela software. What shocked me the most was that the museum tour guide mentioned that there are quite a few places in the US and Canada that have similar set ups. One such place was the Smithsonian! He also mentioned that there is going to be a new generation of home entertainment (eg Nintendo) that would use the Mandela. All in all I thought it was a good production and it showed one of the more interesting packages available for the Amiga. The one thing that bothered me was that all along I thought that the Mandela people had gone bankrupt or something since I had not heard of any recent developments... I am more that glad that Mandela is being used productively. Oh well, this was my $0.02 worth.... -Alexei
