Fellow Amigans, I finally decided on and purchased the SupraRAM 2000 (2 megs), Perfect Sound digitizer, Digiview Gold 4.0, Panasonic WV1410 camera and a midi interface from GoldenHawk Technology. SupraRam 2000: Easy installation, autoconfiguring. Real breezethrough! Works fine. Recommended highly. Perfect Sound: Okay I feed in a line signal from my synthesiser and hav the output from Perfect Sound going to those small amplified speakers from Yamaha. When I turn on the computer and play on the synth, i can hear it on the speakers too, but the sound is extremely bad quality. Is the sound supposed to come from those speakers even without perfect sound running? And why is the sound quality so bad? OK. Then I load up Perfect Sound and monitor, but the sound qualtiy is still very poor. Same with digitizing! Pray, what the hell am I doing wrong. I tried it with a tape deck, fm signal but all sound really bad! Midi: This one is a real winner! It's supposed to plug onto the back of a 500. The guy promised his life away that the same one goes onto the back of a 2000. The midi only fits on if you push the right audio plug on the computer away from the serial port. In other words, you have to bend the right audio jack on the back of your computer to fit the damn thing! Now for the real kicker! I put a 25-25 pin male-female cable from my serial port to the midi. The midi refused to work. I tried the cable with my modem and it worked fine. Other than that everything worked fine. Clueless on the cable thing though! Digiview 4.0: Still tinkering with it. Pretty fast so far. I don't actually have the copy stand and droid so can't do anything yet. Will let you know what happens. That's it so far. Anybody have any ideas/suggestions for Perfect Sound and the serial cable let me know. Thanks. Bin

Other than that > everything worked fine. Clueless on the cable thing though! You shouldn't be. At least the one MIDI schematic I've had a look at used pins that no normal modem cable would ever need. If the MIDI interface is not too hard to open, have a look inside. Shouldn't be too hard to put together an extension cable once you know what should be connected.
