[comp.sys.amiga] >>AMIGA PROFESSIONAL NETWORK<<

R38@psuvm.psu.edu (Marc Rifkin) (03/30/90)

(First of all, I was scared at first when I saw articles bashing "Marc"-
I'm glad it wasn't me!)

That's it. This is the last straw. Enough talking, enough arguing,
enough sitting doing nothing. It is no longer good enough for us to
just know we have a better computer, but to do something about.
That is why I'd like to start the Amiga Professional Network. A network
of people (NOT an NFS...B) who know what they're doing and want to
work together to make the Amiga more visible, more viable, more accessable
and more professional. I want developers, hackers, artists, programmers,
and anyone else who considers themself usefull. I ALSO want people
who aren't yet benefitting from the Amiga who may or may not know about
it, as well as those who wish to benefit more.

This is it. Let's go!!! I just thought of this five minutes ago, so if
anyone has any suggestions, those are welcome too.

Lastly, a bit about myself. I have been a Commodore user for 10 years,
which means I've been putting up with other people's sh@t for ten years.
I've been working for Commodore (between college semesters) for three
years, which means I know what CBM is doing, not just rumors. I run
my own (small) business doing graphics, which means I know how to handle
the Amiga professionally. And, I teach/help run the Penn State Visual
Engineering Lab, which also helps. I am sick of having a computer with
SO much potential, and so little actually achieved. Granted it has
sold incredibly well on its own, but now imagine what it can do under
an organinzed environment.

So, if you are interested, send all words to:

Thanks, I hope for the best turnout. This is something that can be done,
and will succeed.
