Well way back in the premier issue of Amiga World Borland had a full
page color add announcing thier support of the Amiga and release of
Turbo Pascal. The big part of the add was showing that the amiga was
a fast enough machine for Turbo Pascal to run on, and at one point
stated that with Turbo Pascal "the Amiga doesn't dawdle. In fact, Amiga's
speed is going to be a headache, a heartache and a headwind to the
competition." They also announced that they were going to be the
"exclusive Pascal programming language for Commodore's new Amiga."

Too bad this never was more than vaporware.
