[comp.sys.amiga] Hardware questions

Two things-

	A. I've seen plans for converting a Sega light gun to work on the
Amiga (with games like Capone), but I was wondering if anyone has plans
for converting a Nintendo light gun, as I can get one for $10.

	B. A friend of mine (I won't divulge his name) has offered to
install an Obese Agnus in my computer. He says they're being distributed in
Europe, and he has one in his computer. What advantages/disadvantages are
there to installing this chip? He says it's not a prototype, it's the
"real thing." I know that it expands the chip ram from 512k to 1 meg, and
I understand what that means, but I would like some specific examples of
things that I would be able to do (with the currently available software).
I have an A500 w/A501 + 1 Meg Fast Ram for a total of 2 megs.

Thanks.

Has anyone tried "converting" the A500's expansion port to be more
or less compatible with that of the A2000's? How much work is involved?

Also, I'm trying to hook up a Delta multisync to the A500, are there
schematics for such an interface?

Thanks in advance,

York Lam

Well, Progressive Peripherals did it with the SubSystem, no? I have
one on my 500 and I'd say it's somewhere _between_ more and less
compatible with the 2000. :-) My first memory expansion was a Supra
card but it doesn't work with the SubSystem. Had to take it back and
get an 8Up card.

Yes, it's called an "expansion chassis" ;^).

Seriously, I am just getting ready to start on this very project. Soon
I should have a fairly simple procedure outlined with some sources listed
for parts. The one item that may be hardest to find is a good (cheap) box
that can be easily cut to provide access for the port on the side, and also
for any cables/power lines in the back. It would need to be about the
size of a typical zorro card, and I need to make a provision for killing
EMI emmissions.

I hope to get started on this RSN ;^) (I've been thinking about it for
a long time). Once I get the project done I'll post the info on it.
