Here around ISU, there aren't many Commodore dealers. The nearest dealer is about 30 miles south, in Des Moines. A friend of mine would like to start a small Commodore dealership with the intention of stocking the Commodore Educational Packages. Who is the person to contact at Commodore to start getting the proper forms for registering as a Commodore dealer? There is probably quite a bit of red tape involved (as with starting almost any registered small business) and he would like to start cutting through all of this as soon as he can. Also, does Commodore have any restrictions of the size of their dealerships? He is already an authorized dealer for Lazer products, but he doesn't sell many of them. As a result, the business is rather small right now. If anyone can help with obtainign and filling out the necessary paperwork to become an authorized Commodore dealer, it would be appreciated. BTW, those prices of the Commodore Educational Packages sure are sweet! But does anyone, by chance, know if these packages will be expanded to include the UNIX machines and the new 1.4-based low-end machines after those are available? It would sure be nice to be able to get, say, an Amiga 3000 on the educational plan, but I can also see that Commodore would probably want to recoup their R&D costs on these products before putting them under that plan. -MB-
