[comp.sys.amiga] clockdj and the 2630

A_HINDS%HVRFORD.BITNET@cornellc.cit.cornell.edu (04/10/90)

Has anybody had problems with workbench hanging when using
clockdj on a system which has been setcpu'd? I suspect I am having
problems with the WTFPatch (a rom patch), which is necessary to
install to have clockdj work properly. So the question is, what
happens to rom patches after you setcpu? I've tried both before and
after the setcpu, with the same results.
BTW, is there a version later than 4.07, and if so, where
can I ftp it?

Thanks.

I am running ClockDJ 4.12 on a 2620 and it occasionally hangs the
display also. But it definitely ONLY hangs if you try to do a
mouse-activated screen-to-back operation when the CPU is 100% used. I
only encounter this problem when running many CPU-intensive tasks all
chugging away at once; for example, TeX, MetaFont (!!), Previewer, and
Uedit all cranking away on a huge document. I'll mention it to the
author.

The author is David Jenkins and he is accessible via
david_jenkins@canremote.uucp. It is not on Internet, and I don't
believe that "BBS" (yes, that is what the site is), allows programs to
be mailed out in the proper manner. However, if you want to join an
Amiga BBS in Toronto on a long-term basis, you might want to check out
the Bloom Beacon (1-416-283-5924) where David uploads updates of his
clock as they become available.

If anyone is really really desperate for a copy of ClockDJ 4.12, I'm
willing to mail a few out so long as I don't get too many requests.
