[comp.sys.amiga] Multifinder multitasking

As I understand Mac Multifinder, it is non-preemptive multitasking. Programs
that are very well behaved multitask nicely. Programs that aren't so well
behaved (most of them), hog the CPU and don't multitask.

On the Amiga, you have to go out of your way to write a program which doesn't
multitask. On the Mac, you have to go out of your way to write a program which
does multitask. I own an Amiga, so I guess that tells you which method I like
better.

It isn't that the Amiga is the only computer that multitasks. It is just the
only PC which makes it very easy to write programs that multitask.

A program on the Amiga which does not multitask is considered brain dead. A
program on a Mac or PClone which does multitask is considered to be genius.
