The Art Department, a 24 bit image processing system for Amiga print
and video artists, is now shipping. Also shipping now are support for
the following six additional file formats: Rendition(tm), Sculpt(tm),
Turbo-Silver(tm), GIF(tm), Targa(tm), Deluxe Paint IIe(tm).
Renditon (defined by Numerical Design Ltd) is a 32 bit format used in
Caligari(tm). Targa (defined by TrueVision, Inc) is a 16 and
32 bit format used in many places. Sculpt is actually the format defined
by Mimetics for their frame buffer and is 24 bit. Silver is defined by
Impulse, Inc. and is used by their products. GIF is defined by Compuser,
and is an 8 bit format used many places. DPIIe is defined by EA for use
on their PC version of DPII.
Additional formats will be announced as they become available.
