bgribble@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (Bill Gribble) (05/06/90)
I'm about to go home for the summer, and so (not wanting to give up mail and news) I just acquired Dillon's UUCP. Assuming I can get it up and running, how can I locate nodes in my area to tie in to? The local college doesn't have any UNIX machines (just VMS- bleah!) except for *possibly* a workstation or two, but I'm not sure. There may be local companies with unix machines on the net, but I kind of doubt that too. I'm originally from Lubbock, Texas (area code 806) if anybody reading happens know where that is. But don't spread it around. I appreciate any help you can give me - God knows why I want to read Marc Barrett flame-fests and arguments over whether the 500 can run 2.0, but I guess I'm hooked :-) Bill. ============================================================================= ===== Bill Gribble Internet: bgribble@jarthur.claremont.edu ===== ===== Harvey Mudd College wgribble@hmcvax.claremont.edu ===== ===== Claremont, CA 91711 Bitnet: wgribble@hmcvax.bitnet ===== ===== (714) 621-8000 x2045 UUCP: ..!uunet!jarthur!bgribble ===== =============================================================================
