I have seen mention of a Student Representative program being offered by Commodore. I am interested, but do not currently have access to a dealer close by, so I have no idea how to get info. on either this program or the educational discount program. Could someone at Commodore send me some info in the Stu. Rep. program? Also, since I don't have a nearby dealer, how can I take advantage of CBM's programs, since mail order dealers have supposedly been dropped from the "authorized dealer" list (or whatever they call it)? This would not be a problem if they had a ubiquitous distribution network, but many people are far away from an authorized dealer. Could the student rep. program be used to overcome this problem, at least on the campuses of remotely situated Universities such as mine? The direct route through the University Bookstore or campus Computing Services organization is most likely out, since they are very IBM-ized here. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I might even be interested in setting up a dealership, although from what I hear, the up-front costs would definitely be a very effective barrier for me, a poor college student. -- Fred Clauss INTERNET: fredc@isc.umr.edu (preferred) Intelligent Systems Center or flc@umree.ee.umr.edu University of Missouri UUNET: {occrsh|sunarch}!umree!flc Rolla, MO 65401 BITNET: S081192@UMRVMA
