Hello, everyone. I am in need of a good 1.3-style printer driver for my Star Gemini-10x printer, and I'm not above putting in a little hard work to get it. So, I have a few questions. One: Does anyone have a 1.3 style printer driver for this beast? The EpsonXOld driver works fine but doesn't take advantage of the highest vertical resolution the printer has. The EpsonX[CBM-MPS-1250] driver doesn't get the vertical spacing right, among other things. If someone already has a driver, I'm certainly NOT above using it :-) Two: (failing One: above) I have an older program (circa 1987) called PrtDrvGen that creates 1.2 style printer drivers if you answer all it's questions about the parameters for your particular printer. The version I have is 2.3, and it was written by Jorgen Thomsen. Does anyone know if this program has been updated to something that will produce 1.3 printer drivers? The driver I created with version 2.3 works O.K. except it screws up for certain programs that say they expect 1.3 printer drivers. Three: (failing One: and Two:) What sources of information do I need to consult to learn how to create a 1.3 printer driver? I assume the information would be in one of the RKM's. Which one? Any place else I should look? Any other suggestions are welcome. I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to replace this printer until I could afford a postscript laser printer! I know it's capable of some pretty good output; I wrote a program to use the graphics modes to draw characters on my 3B1, and it worked fairly well.
