I just have a simple question. On the A3000UX (the Unix machine) is Unix the main operating system and you run ADOS as a task, or is it the other way around? Thanks, Robert Birch <umbirch2@ccu.umanitoba.ca>

Umm, I hadn't heard that they had the two operating systems running together. I'm not sure the two would co-operate well, anyway. The main thrust of AT&T Unix is protection [more or less] and the main thrust of A-OS is real-time response. I had heard that is was planned _at some point_. Is it true that this is working? How does it perform? Is it related to their Mach work? From what has been said in the past in this group, UNIX and AmigaDOS can only
be run one at a time, they both takeover the entire machine, so the answer to
both of your proposals is no. However, there have been hints that CBM is
working on getting AmigaDOS to run under UNIX, sort of like the MacOS under
A/UX on the Macintosh.
