There's a new IFF to Vector program out there. It's called VectorTrace and from what I've seen until now, it blows the socks off DigiWorks. As with DigiWorks, you load an IFF file to convert it to vector oriented output (no more jaggies). Unlike DigiWorks, VectorTrace only accepts one bitplane files, if you load a file with more, it just takes the first. The tracing routine is better and faster than DigiWorks'. The program can output data to the following format: - VectorTrace - Aegis Draw - Videoscape - Postscript (yes!!) - Pro Draw Clip Unfortunately, Sculpt format is not supported. This is the worst thing about the program; I just can't understand how the author could have forgotten this. VectorTrace can be operated either in medres or in hires. It has a lot more options than Digiworks, e.g. an excellent zoom feature (one of the best I've seen anywhere). It's being sold by Gold Vision, a german company and costs 150.- DM, about 80 US$. -- ------------------------------------ Chris Brand - wizard@sosaria.imp.com "Justice is the possession and doing of what one is entitled to" - Platon ------------------------------------
