No, I haven't got them to compile, but not for the reasons you mention.
compiler.h and iff.h were included with the files I received.

Has anyone actually gotten these files to compile?  If so, what compiler did
you use?  I attempted to use Manx, and got errors pertaining to the
non-existance of the two files 'compiler.h' and 'iff.h'.  Any help anyone?

Yes.  It compiled fine on our Sparcstation One.  It was written for Unix, but
I don't think it would be too hard to convert to Amiga code... It's just
a filter.  Havn't looked at the code though.
