Here is my situation: 1> I am buying an A3000 as soon as I can get my hands on one. 2> My uncle is GIVING me a unit which he calls an OMDR. He says that it is some sort of optical storage device manufactured by panasonic and that it costs $15K. I have never seen or heard of the unit I am about to inherit, but it would sure be nice to hack it in with my future A3000! Has anyone had any experience with this type of product? Is it for real or is my uncle just uniformed? He tells me the devise uses 8" optical disks and that it is read/write. Any information would be GREATLY appreciated. I am definitely not a hardware person so I would appreciate ANY input on the matter. Please respond to me and I will summrize to the net.
