I am limiting my consideration to electronic computers. In that light, the GMP-4 is probably most popular. The GMP-4 is the engine control computer that General Motors makes in Kokomo, Indiana. A few years back, GM used a proprietary version of the 6809 for the CPU. I haven't had any involvement lately, so things might have progressed quite a bit since then.
