Sorry to waste net bandwidth, but the following response via E-mail got lost
somewhere between Usenet and Bitnet.

Paul, I'm very surprised at this. I bought A-Talk III about a year ago and
I've upgraded twice. Both times the folks at Oxxi were very polite and I
received the upgrade within a week or so.

what you've described is clearly a mark of something gone wrong in customer
service! Insist on speaking to the management...let the high mucky-mucks know
you are dis-satisfied with the customer support!!

Anyway, the current version released (current to me at least) is 1.2d. And I
believe 1.3 HAS been released. Cost should be about eight (8) bucks.

I too have had strange dealings with the folks at Oxxi.
I bought ATalkIII because it had the best VT100 emulator out there.
Well friends it really is accurate! It even has all the vt100 bugs in it.
If you do a line kill of more than 40 chars it crashes not just the at3
process but the whole computer! It lands so hard the guru is scared away!
When I complained about this they denied it, they then said they'd send an
upgrade, said they'd send an upgrade, said they'd send an upgrade,
said they'd send an upgrade, (each of these is a month apart)
said they'd send an upgrade, finally sent an upgrade that had the same bugs.
After about a year of calling them regularly they told me that the programmer
said it was supposed to crash like that, the vt100 did. THIS IS STUPID!

they people have always been polite, but they also have been rather stupid.
I don't mind when a public domain program has a problem and noone to fix it.
I do mind when I pay for a commercial product and it has problems like this.

Just my two bytes worth.
