A call for volunteers! (Quickly, the user sitting at the terminal hits the 'n' key. Whew! he thinks. Almost didn't make it! ;-) Is anyone out there using the CNews port that was on the Fish disks awhile ago? Around 310-320? If so, please send me some mail. I'd be interested in beta testers for the second (complete?) release of that stuff, but I'd prefer people who have looked at/used the first version. The original would run on a floppy-based system (sort'uv :-) but I doubt you'd want to do that with this one... It *will* run on a stock 512K Amiga, but your feed site had better not be sending you news compressed at 16-bits! Also, the database routines "prefer" to use in-memory caches, but they'll work without'em. I already have one gentleman (sorry, Larry, but I had to :-) who will be feeding other sites doing some testing. There is still some work to do converting shell scripts into C, but I hope to have a fully functional version to bring with me to DevCon. Okay, enough rambling... Thanks for the bandwidth, folks! ----- Frank J.
