While it appears that SoundTracker is at least in a gray area of legality, and NoiseTracker a lighter shade of gray, I suggest that those who have been playing with either of these to take a look at MED 2.00. It will read Soundtracker, and some Noisetracker modules. It supports PAL and NTSC display modes. It appears to be more stable than both. It supports midi in/out. It supports more samples. It is truly PD. It's on one of the most recent batch of fish disks (sorry, can't remember which one). And the player program works very nicely with showanim and the like.
