[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga file server

dix@clinet.FI (Risto Kaivola) (06/23/90)

Hello,

I have the following questions to the people at
amiga-archive@ncr-sd.SanDiego.NCR.COM (which should be a 'registered
domain address' whatever it is):
I have understood that I can get some Amiga files from you by sending a
message to you. In the message there shouldn't be anything else than
'instructions' to your file server, e.g. 'send help'. Is this correct?

2)I have sent you several messages to the address
amiga-arhive@ncr-sd.UUCP as it seems to be an address my place (or
should it be site) understands. I have made this conclusion from that
my account has been charged every time I have sent mail to this address.
Have you received anything?

3)If you have, why don't you reply? Can't you accept internet addresses?
I tried with following uucp address: mcsun!santra!clinet!dix given to
you with 'path' command (I understood that this command is correct for
the purpose).

4)Is it correct to post this kind of queries to comp.amiga.sys?

(My attempts to reach your file server are based on a posting posted to
this group some time ago. The poster was Juan Orlandini, and its subject
was something like 'Amiga FTP Sites'.

5)Is it always necessary that the file server is at the same site as the
files I wan't? I haven't an ftp access although I have an Internet address.

Answers to this newsgroup or by email to:
