[comp.sys.amiga] Amiga Music printing

dgold@basso.actrix.co.nz (Dale Gold) (06/27/90)

As a result of moaning by myself & others in comp.sys.amiga about the
lack of Amiga music programs, we're trying to produce a music
printing program. I'm doing the moaning & he's doing the programming!

We'd be interested in any input from users of music scoring programs:
1> what have you got? (Dr T's, MuTeX or others??)
	2> what's good about it?
	3> what's bad about it?
4> what would you like a music scoring program to do, and how?
What style of input do you prefer? mouse, synth, keys???

Yes, we're familiar with DMCS. It's very good for what it is, but we're
hoping to do something with better printouts, and more features for the
working musician.

We're also interested in any info about producing TeX & Postcript
output, and have heard rumours of a MicroIllusions Developers Toolkit
which has hooks to MusicX. Any info as to how to find out about these
things will be gratefully received.

Replies through email please, and if there's enough response, I'll
try to summarize, or we'll come up with a program!
Dale
