Thanks. > > Alexander Hinds Here is a quick and dirty hookup for the Imagewriter II to the Amiga. It uses no hardware handshaking (XON/XOFF instead). Imagewriter mini din 8 DB-25 connector 3-----------------------------------------3 4-----------------------------------------7 5-----------------------------------------2 Note. The DB-25 must be male for the A1000 and female for the others. Set the Imagewriter dip switches as follows: SW1 - All switches up (open) SW2 - DDDUUD where D = down (closed) and U = up (open) This selects 9600 baud, XON/XOFF, 10 characters / inch, 66 lines / page, etc. Set preferences to match, (make sure you select the serial port and settings!) I have also made a cable using hardware handshaking, 1200 baud so the printer you really need hardware handshaking, I could dig around and see if I can find the details of how I made that cable.

I was trying to say that I had made a cable to hook up an Imagewriter II to a modem, so I could dial in from my Amiga at home and print out nice colour pictures on a remote printer. Somewhere I must still have details on this set up, but it might take time to dig it out again.
