[comp.sys.amiga] Computer use in RoboCop 2

dfrancis@tronsbox.xei.com (Dennis Francis Heffernan) (06/27/90)

|For a movie that was supposed to have all the computer animations done on
|am Amiga, it appalled me that the `command screen' (for lack of better
|definition) of RoboCop 2 was so obviously a Mac that they didn't even take
|out the little apple character in the upper left.
|
|I dunno about anyone else, but this really burned me!

First off, pay more attention when you see it next. That ain't an
apple up in the corner...it's a skull!

Secondly, no one would have recognized the Amiga menus; they a) aren't
popular enough and b) don't really have a distinctive look to them.

If you didn't notice the little "apple logo" in Robo II's menu was a Skull.
Does this imply Robo II is more user friendly......

It's not so much that they aren't popular enough, but they're invisible.
Remember, you don't see menu headings until you press the right mouse button.
