[comp.sys.amiga] 3000

caw@miroc.Chi.IL.US (Christopher A. Wichura) (06/30/90)

Welp, I just got my new 3000. The machine is great. However, for someone
used to the ARP command set, I was not too impressed by the supposedly
enhanced C: commands. You can't even CD to a wildcard...

Anyway, I saw mention on c.s.a a while back that said 2.0's pattern
matching could be set to accept `*' to mean `#?'. However, I haven't seen
antything along these lines in the manual. Can someone point me in the
right direction?

Also, the drive mask is supposed to be $fffffffe, correct? I couldn't
remember if it was that or the other way around $..ffc.

What is the best way to get rid of drive clicking on the 3000?

Most of this would really be better responded to in E-Mail.

Thanks,

Sure you can; however, if there's more than one possible target
the CD fails. (rather than take whichever one it found first)

Best if it ends with a C (longword alignment, rather than word alignment)
