(Sorry I didn't send this to the bugs account at Commodore, but I couldn't remember what the address was.) From time to time, while using my new 3000, it will loose all its ASSIGNed directories, as well as some volumes as well. I use BindNames by the great and mighty H to do 30 plus assigns during startup. When the system decides to scramble itself, I end up with 2 or 3 of the assigns left, and entry for `:' (the filingsystem root?), a couple of dos handlers (but not all that I mounted), and only one of my hard drive partitions. Typing `version' on my system give: Kickstart = 36.141 and WorkBench = 36.68 I have not noticed this problem occuring after any specific command or family of commands (such as those that use the arp.library -- I use ARP's CD exclusively so one would think I would get this problem a lot more often than I do). When this happens, a simple three finger salute doesn't really do the trick. Very shortly after rebooting the system will do the same thing again. To really get it out of its system, I have to turn the machine off for a few seconds and then turn it back on. -=> CAW /////////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ Christopher A.
