software market than get involved in getting it written. You can't
find software you want? Write the spec and mail it to me; I'll mail
you back a time/cost plan for writing it. Given your feelings on
intellectual property, I expect you'll write the spec and not just say
"a Lotus 1-2-3 clone". Given the recent turn in Lotus's lawsuit, doing
that would also cost much extra $'s.
On the other side, if that "minor inconvenience" makes the software
unusable (like the "minor inconvenience" of having to run MS-DOS),
then your plan would make the software market _much_ worse than it is
now for the people involved.
You know, I'm one of them. With any luck, I'll be working on my 3rd
machine in as many months soon....
