I have some Postscript font files from a Mac that I would like to use on my Amiga. They have the extention .hqx. Does anyone know of a way to get them back into ASCII file on the Amiga? By the way, I do not have a C compiler. Please E-mail back as I'm not on comp.sys.mac Thanks, Ken Internet: Hartupee.Pasa@Xerox.com uucp: ...ucbvax!xerox.com!Hartupee.Pasa

If you have AMAX, you can use STUFFIT 2. You can get someone to port BinHex to amy. I did it some time ago, it compiled fine under Aztec 3.6a (the Unix BinHex, that is) (don't have it anymore. If you find it, mail it to me and I'll compile it for you) 3. Of course, BinHex will compile on Unix.

The extension .hqx means that they have been transformed throught a program called BinHex (5.0 is the latest) I think. It's about like uuencode/uudecode on Amiga or Unix. You need to unBinHex it and then you'll probably discover that that it is 'Stuffited'. Stuffit is a Mac archiver like tar or zoo or lharc and the latest version I think is 1.5.1. Good luck, Edouard
