[comp.sys.amiga] More good press

The Amiga gets terrific press in the Puget Sound Computer User July issue.
The article is by Michael Brown, and seems to be related somewhat to his
book Desktop Video Production, which is about to come out. The article
"Multimedia Computing With the Amiga" begins:

"While Macintosh users and developers were pioneering desktop publishing,
Amiga users and developers were pioneering multimedia computing. .... As
the pioneer, however, the Amiga enjoys a considerable headstart in software
and hardware development. And (sic) the Amiga's unique architecture
offers the multimedia producer several advantages that cannot be matched
by the IBM PC or the Macintosh II...."

He goes on to describe ARexx, DeluxepaintIII, HAM mode, Deluxe Productions,
Sound/animation with DeluxevideoIII, Elan Performer, Digi-View, Framegrabber,
genlocks, and the famed Toaster (which seems to `only' be waiting for FCC
approval, and cost $1,595.) He concludes:

"The amiga is the undisputed leader in the production of cost-effective
computer animation. New products expected from both Commodore and third-
party Amiga developers should extend this lead even further."

There is a sidebar describing how Hewlett Packard chose the Amiga over
its own Vectras and the MacII for making their in-house education and
training videos.

All in all, incredibly good press, and not heavy handed at all.
