Ok, ok...I was wrong about the way KickStart works in the A3000. If you can use it in an A1000, that's fine. If it'll be easier than I said to stick the ROMs in the A2x00 line, even better. I retract EVERYTHING I've EVER said about KS2.0...other than it's a royal pain to backup the HD everytime we get an update ;^) I'll be VERY happy when they get it frozen...I just wish C= would let all the info out so that misunderstandings (like mine) wouldn't happen, because it doesn't say anywhere in the technical data in the service manuals on the A3000 's KS eprom use (at least not that I could find), so I was going by what our service tech said. later...
